A great day in the porpoise. It was a busy day for my mate Jon Bennett. We changed lure back and forth 6 or 7 times before we ended up catching this 182 pound ahi on the first pass in the pod. We caught the second one on the tuna stick after fishing the pod for 2 hours or so. We caught this Mahi mahi at a floater on a ballyhoo before we came home.
Hal’s Blue

Hal Westbrook (foreground) moments before releasing his first ever blue marlin. We had ran thirty miles to Tsunami buoy that day with nothing to show for it but luck happened to be on Hal’s side. While high speed trolling home from the buoy at a brisk fourteen knots this large blue crashed our short Polukai jet. After a quick battle we released her to fight another day.
Good Day

Some days were just meant to be special. After releasing a striped marlin in the morning for a first time young female angler we hooked into a large yellow fin for the dad. As if that wasn’t enough we managed to catch thirty eight Mahis at a floater. Not a bad day for a father daughter team.
