Varnish is done (for now)

IMG_5175IMG_5176IMG_5177Tracy and dad Steve got the varnish all done in week 2. They got 6 good coats on everything so we are all sealed up. We are ready for the painters to start priming. I got the post mixed up here a little but the priming can start now the the varnish is done. We like to get the stripping and varnish done before we paint to keep from trashing the new paint and also to get that nice clean line between the varnish and the paint. The guys did a great job even in some bad weather to keep the ball rolling. In the 3rd picture you can see the new windows bedded in place withthe trim back on. The trim came out so cleanly it really went on well. Time consuming job for sure. Going into week 3 we have the varnish done like we hoped and Mike and Roberto will begin the painting very soon.
