New Covering Boards

We decided to cut off the old covering boards and put new ones on. The current ones were really thin for heavy tackle. If we were fishing lighter line I would have gone with what we had. We had under a 1/2 inch of boards left so here are a shots of the old boards getting cut off.  The tuna tubes needed to get roughed in so we knew were the boards would end up. I molded the outside of the tubes so we could get it in place to know where the boards have to be cut. It is in right after it came out of the mold so it is still pretty rough here. Cutting the boards  off and getting ready  for the new ones was easy putting the new ones on is going to be hard. We are gathering enough clamps and dry fitting while we paint. Pictures of the new boards to come.IMG_0159IMG_0160IMG_0161
