Our friend Terry was back now that the paper is off to detail the windows and put the final touches on them. The caulking that goes around the outside and the inside will get them done. He did a great job I am really happy with the job he did. Thanks Terry. Here you can see the channels tapped off leading to the fore decks ready for the non skid to be sprayed tomorrow.
Tower Goes On
Thursday, January 7th, 2010Today we finally got the tower on. There were so many steps to get to this point. The tower sleeves went on fairly easy . We held it in place and bolted it in place with the boom truck holding it. Once we were done we let it go and took off the straps. We were warned it could take all day to get it on. Thankfully we had it on in an hour or so. Picture to come of it on the boat. Sorry for missing the finished shot. In this shot you can see the name ready for clear coats tomorrow.

Thursday, January 7th, 2010Rob Ellyn and Tracy took Dave Louden out fishing on the 37 today. I had to get the pod on the tower done so the painters and I could paint it to get the tower. Fiberglass work just isn’t as fun as fishing. They found the porpoise and got bit on the first pass. The bite was so explosive Rob said it looked like a blue Marlin. There have been a few nice marlin around lately so when they saw the tuna they were surprised. (picture of tuna to come)
Tuna Tubes
Thursday, January 7th, 2010

I had a bit of a snag on the tuna tubes. I was making them as the job here was moving along and had to stop to get other things done that needed to get done first. One of the was the covering boards on before we could paint. The plan for getting the tubes in changed and I had to make some adjustments to them to get them in. Sometimes on a big job it is more important to stay with the step that needs to be done but costs us some time later. Part of the deal here.

Here Perry of Signs By Jackie puts the last stencil on the transom for the gold part of the lettering. Once the gold is done drying the name will be ready for clear coats.
