Dave’s first blue marlin today on the short bait. Looked to be around 180 or so. Missed a spear and a mahi and ended up catching a nice spear in the afternoon. Got this nice blue today for Parke Balelsheimer the deep again today. The fish didn’t make it and we had to bring her in. Took so much line off the bite we planed her up alive and she didn’t make it past the few shots we got of her. She weighed 662. We let it go 550. The confusion in that weight was she was 114 short. In the end the girth made her weigh more. 30 minutes later we saw a fish way bigger on the long rigger and missed it. She raced around the pattern and the size of it was unreal.
